Based in Bethesda, Maryland, Classic Group has been responsible for building more than 7,500 homes, plus the development of over 12,000 homesites, in the Baltimore-Washington area. Classic’s founders Richard Sullivan and Stephen Eckert have over 35 years of experience in the residential building and development business. Among Classic’s award winning developments are:
- Chapman Farm – A 496-unit residential development in Crofton, Maryland, completed in 1999.
- The Villages of Dorchester – A residential development in Hanover, Maryland, completed in 2009.
- Chapel Ridge – A residential development in Hanover, Maryland, completed in 2010
- Lakelands – A 1,650-unit mixed-use community in Montgomery County, Maryland, completed in 2008
Koch Development Group
In 1951 Ross Koch founded the Bucher & Koch Realty Co., Inc. and built a reputation for building quality custom homes over the next two decades. Gary Koch joined the company in 1977 and soon thereafter established G.W Koch Associates Inc., dba Koch Homes. Over the last 30 years Koch Homes has become one of the largest and most well respected builders and developers in the region. Koch Homes typically completes approximately 100 single family settlements per year with sales ranging between $450,000-$950,000. In addition to their own home building operation, Koch Homes is recognized as a key player in the development and sale of residential communities in Anne Arundel County. This includes securing full property entitlements, site development and sale of residential lots across all zoning categories to national and regional home builders. Over its 63 year history Koch Homes has built and developed over 6,000 homes and lots in the county and has been recognized both at the Local and State level for their quality of work and their attention to detail, including awards for the Maryland Project of the Year for Gibson’s Grant in 2008 and Community of the Year for Farmington Village in 1998.
