Love where you live in 2017!
As we say goodbye to 2016, now is the perfect time to reflect on our goals for the new year and especially, look at adding a new home as a goal for 2017!
It’s so important to be near family over the holidays, and spending more quality time with loved ones is always a positive goal for the year. Our residents enjoy the accessibility of our beloved Maryland community which is perfectly situated near Annapolis, Baltimore and Washington, DC; not to mention a short half-hour drive to Balitmore-Washington International (BWI) Airport, which means staying connected with family and friends is just a short drive or plane ride away!
Check out our latest video on the official Two Rivers TV and find out why now it the time to buy a new home in the New Year.
Get Outside & Enjoy the Local Parks Nearby
If you ask us, there’s no better way to take advantage of the brisk winter weather than to take a nice, long walk around our community or in one of the local public parks nearby. Fortunately for our residents, there is a wide variety of local park options to choose from that are close to our community’s location in Crofton, Maryland.
Quiet Waters Park
Located in Annapolis, Quiet Waters Park is situated in a waterfront area, between the South River and Harness Creek. There are various scenic trails you can take advantage of, as well as a playground for the little ones and over 300 acres of park land to enjoy. During the winter season, there’s also an ice skating rink!
If you’d like to host an event at the park, there are six outdoor pavilions to choose from. If you prefer to host an event inside, the park has an indoor facility that’s ideal for parties. When the weather is warmer, enjoy water activities such as kayaking, canoeing and stand up paddleboarding.
Another waterfront area, Greenbury Point is a 231 acre peninsula at the mouth of the Severn River, located in Annapolis. The area serves as an important home for various forms of wildlife. The main trail loop is about three miles long, making it perfect for a walk or jog. While visiting, be sure to check out the Nature Center!
Washington, Baltimore & Annapolis Trail
The WB&A trail occupies old railway corridors that were in use between 1908 and 1935, and the trail is now used for walking, jogging and biking. The northern section of the trail runs through Anne Arundel County and starts in nearby Odenton! This section of the trail is 3.8 miles long and runs mostly through beautiful wooded areas.
Kinder Farm Park
Located in nearby Severna Park, Kinder Farm Park serves as the home for the local youth sports leagues, but as you could guess from the name, also includes a farm with various farm animals. There are seasonal events held at the park, as well as beautiful scenery to enjoy as you jog, walk or bike around the 3-mile trail!
