Lights on the Bay.
This is certainly one of the more popular holiday events in the area, and for good reason! There’s nothing quite like driving along the Chesapeake Bay and admiring the magnificent light show displays lining the shore. Midnight Madness.
On December 1 and 8, from 6 pm-12 am (and Dec. 15 from 6-11 pm at Eleventh Hour), stroll along Main Street, Maryland Avenue and West Street in historic downtown Annapolis for excellent holiday shopping, including musical performances and food and refreshments!
Jingle Bell Hayride.
Visit Kinder Farm Park in nearby Millersville on December 3 and get into the holiday spirit with a hayride! Ride through the park on a decorated hay wagon, complete with jingle bells, and enjoy hot chocolate and coffee. Learn more here.
Wreath Workshop.
Also on December 3, enjoy the Historic London Town and Gardens annual wreath workshop in Edgewater! Using greenery from the gardens, as well as ornaments and other festive decorations, attendees can make their own centerpieces and wreaths for the holiday season. Learn more here.
Eastport Yacht Club Light Parade.
Visit the Annapolis City Harbour and enjoy a parade of more than 70 boats, lit with holiday lights and decorations! Find more information here.
Illuminated London Town:
Every Friday in December from 6-9 pm, visit Historic London Town and Gardens for an evening full of holiday magic! Enjoy festive lighting in the gardens, s’mores, hot cider, performances and colonial charm. Find more information here.
Baltimore Christmas Market.
Make the quick trip to downtown Baltimore to enjoy a classic German Christmas market at the Inner Harbor! The market is open through December 24 (but closed December 6 and 13) and is modeled after a traditional Christmas market in Germany. There are vendors in over 50 booths offering European food, drinks and sweets. Enjoy some holiday shopping as well from vendors offering a variety of gifts, jewelry, arts and crafts, and ornaments.
